PROVIDING HIGHLY SKILLED ELECTRICIANS IN THE VALLEY SINCE 1902

The Region’s Most Highly Trained And Highly Experienced Electrical Workforce

IBEW Local 64 services our contractors and their customers in a Tri-county region (throughout Mahoning County and parts of Columbiana and Trumbull Counties) with a highly skilled electrical workforce of inside wiremen – while also providing our members with all the benefits of belonging to the world’s most progressive trade union, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

representation

As a nonprofit labor union that maintains a firm but friendly relationship with the employer, we work hard to fairly protect the interests of our members while helping both the employer and employees accomplish their goals.

As union members, we bargain collectively with our employers over wages, benefits and rights. Most of us have very limited bargaining power as one person, but as a group, we are strong. And with a good negotiated contract, we have legal protections we would not have otherwise.

Training

IBEW Local 64 members and apprentices are trained through the Youngstown Electrical Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee, whose programs are taught at a state-of-the art training center and are registered with the Department of Labor, Bureau of Apprenticeship and training.

Thousands of successful electricians started their careers in the Youngstown Area Electrical J.A.T.C. Apprenticeship Training Program.

Training is low cost and Local 64 apprentices earn a salary while they learn.

Craftsmanship

Our highly skilled workforce ensures that you receive the highest quality craftsmanship with on-time and on-budget projects. • SAFETY
